Abstract :
The authors present an adaptive importance sampling (AIS) technique for estimating the bit error rate of a communications system over a correlated Rayleigh channel. The technique reduces the computer simulation time significantly and simplifies the procedure of choosing an optimally-based density function of the channel fading process
