Abstract :
Different methods used for the measurement of magnetization saturation and perpendicular anisotropy by torque measurement of magnetic thin films are briefly discussed. Alternative methods to obtain these parameters from the data supplied by only one torque curve (maximum value of the torque, torque value for 45 degrees , and slope of the torque curve at the origin) are proposed and experimentally tested. Also, a condition of validity of these methods is given.
