  • Abstract
Computer graphics has been used to display engineering and scientific data for a number of years. Early uses included graphing of simple functions or experimental data as an aid to understanding complex models. Significant improvements in graphics system capability have occurred since such early uses. Here, we will follow a typical engineering problem and analyze a number of graphical "solutions" to it, in order to show how state-of-the art computer graphics can aid engineers, scientists, and problem solvers. We will also examine some features that may become available in the future.
