Abstract :
The commenters claim that energy is not conserved in an analysis of the unidirectional operation of a ring waveguide laser in a paper by A. Sennaroglu and C. R. Pollock (ibid., vol.9, no.9, p.1094-8, Sept. 1991). Sennaroglu and Pollack point out that the commenters completely ignored the boundary conditions on the tangential components of the magnetic fields at the interface
