Abstract :
Electric field assisted Cu+-Na+ ion exchanged optical channel waveguides have been produced in Corning 7740 borosilicate glass using a Cu film source. Average losses of 1.0, 0.45 and 0.3 dB/cm, at wavelengths of 633, 850 and 1300 nm, respectively, have been measured.
