Abstract :
Waveforms of the laser emission and the fluorescence from the upper laser level of a strontium ion (Sr+) recombination laser are investigated for various input pulse energies at various operating temperatures. The laser output waveforms are found to be classified into three groups in accordance with the input pulse energy. This is discussed in relation to the rate of recombination between Sr ++ ions and electrons
