Abstract :
A measure for time-domain distortion of a signal passed through a Hilbert transformer is proposed. The measure is defined as the symmetry error of the transformer´s response to the ideal bandpass signal. Based on this measure, a method for the design of IIR all-pass Hilbert transformers is presented.
