  • Abstract
Electromagnetic compatibility has become an important engineering discipline, essential for the proper design of all types of equipment incorporating electrical and electronic circuits. In this part of the tutorial the author discusses the general principles of EMC identifies the major sources of interference, the range and features of the coupling mechanisms, and some of the effects of interference on equipment. The ever-changing international scene regarding standards and EMC regulations are also described
