Abstract :
The transmission and reflection characteristics of a periodic wall structure are studied by a rigorous coupled-wave analysis (RCWA) method. The presented method solves the reflection and transmission coefficients for an electromagnetic plane wave, obliquely incident onto a periodic multilayer building structure. Simulation findings are compared with those obtained by other researchers. The transmission and reflection properties of concrete block and reinforced concrete walls are also analyzed. The good agreement of the simulation results with previous published results validates the recommended RCWA method.
