Abstract :
We report results on the critical current density Jc(T,H) at various fields and temperatures of Bi-2223/Ag tapes and small coils. In field measurements on small coils were performed under ascending and descending fields to investigate hysteretic behavior. Strain dependence of Jc was obtained by bending heat treated tapes around mandrels of varying diameters. Microstructural results of these tapes by optical microscopy, SEM, EDS, WDS are also presented
