Comments on "Heuristic Synthesis of Microprogrammed Computer Architecture"

This correspondence points out the incorrectness of an example microprogram and associated performance improvement as presented in a recent paper.1 An amended microprogram is presented together with the revised performance improvement. The incorrectness is shown to reflect on the synthesis algorithm used to generate the example.
