Abstract
An ultra-wideband short-range radar (UWBSRR) human monitoring system is described, which provides the ability to monitor movement for fall detection, track daily activity, and analyze sleep restlessness patterns. The described system simplifies deployment and has functional and cost advantages over existing systems. These advantages allow for non-invasive monitoring where it was not practical or possible before, which will allow for an extension of independent living.
