Abstract :
A compact sealed-off repetitively pulsed radio frequency discharge slab overtone CO laser was studied and developed. Maximum average output power was 0.3 W at a laser efficiency of 0.5%. The laser spectrum consisted of 80 vibrational-rotational spectral lines within the wavelength range of 2.5-4.0 microns.
