Abstract :
This paper describes the design and fabrication of novel frequency tripler in non-radiative dielectric guide at 60GHz. The measured conversion loss of this single diode tripler is 20 dB with peak output power of 0 dBm (with unbiased diode). The circuit has additional provisions for diode biasing which further reduces the input power requirement. This circuit has the potential to be used particularly in low-power 60 GHz short-range communication systems.
