Abstract :
In this paper, a novel Swastika shaped Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) with wideband characteristics is designed. The proposed antenna system resonates at a dual band of 6.4 GHz and 9.2 GHz with an impedance bandwidth of 47% at -10 dB return loss. A 2×2 MIMO system is designed using the proposed antenna giving a mutual coupling less than -15 dB with a separation of 10 mm between the two antennas in the operating band. The proposed 2×2 MIMO system is analyzed using a computational ray tracing electromagnetic simulator in an indoor propagation environment and the channel capacities are calculated.
