Abstract :
The requirements of the new cable bill specify the amount of signal a television tuner may receive over the air, this is known as direct pickup (DPU). DPU is readily definable in terms of antenna parameters. The theoretical basis and measurement technique used to quantify the DPU of a television tuner using a GTEM is examined
