Abstract :
This paper presents the comments regarding the numerical predictions from Ansoft HFSS, which were compared by the author with a Floquet-mode expansion technique for the scan impedance of an infinite array of planar dipoles located lambda/4 above a ground plane. It is the intension of this paper to confirm through an independent analysis that the HFSS predictions are accurate, and to explain the reason for the discrepancy that was observed in the above paper.
