Abstract :
This paper presents typical design, realization and space qualification tests of waveguide-iris filter used for space applications. Along with electrical specifications (including corona and multipaction) of the filter, various aspects of space requirements such as feasibility of fabrication, compatibility to work under free space environment, ability to work throughout the mission life without failures etc., are discussed. Measured and simulated filter characteristics show good agreement and is flown successfully.
