Abstract :
High-gain oscillation at 486.1 and 434.0 nm has been observed in a pulsed neon laser that was simultaneously operating at 540.1 nm. The two previously unreported laser lines are tentatively identified as the Balmer β and γ lines of atomic hydrogen.
