  • Abstract
On29 October 2002, Microsoft and Science Applications International Corporation issued press releases announcing that Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 had received Evaluation Assurance Level 4 certification under the Common Criteria evaluation process. The Microsoft certification is sure to come up in many purchasing discussions over the next few years, so the question arises: What does this mean in plain English?.
