Abstract
This book provides a good introduction to sensors for beginners - the definitions unique to the filed, basic theory behind the operation, and transduction platforms are all strong points. The weakness of the text is that the coverage of nanoenabled sensors is very sparse. Some of the topics covered include: nanotechnology definitions; mental characteristics and terminologies; transduction platforms; characterization techniques; explanations of how change in properties can form the basis for sensing; and equivalent coverage.
