Abstract
A degradation of spatial resolution performance of spaceborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images, which is due to the atmospheric radio waves propagation effects, is considered in this letter. A special calculation procedure of spatial resolution performances, in particular of the SAR azimuth resolution, is offered. Herein, the analysis of a potential spatial resolution, resulting from the influence of the atmosphere, on SAR images is presented.
