Abstract :
With interest in marine power at an all time high, up and coming generators are bracing for commercial action. This article discusses harnessing tidal power for electricity generation. It focuses on the current development status of two main types of generator. The first is a seafloor sited turbine; the second a hydroplane device. It concludes with an examination of government development funding for such projects.
