Abstract :
It is perceived that multiagents dedicated to business are likely to revolutionize commercial practices in the years to come. One of the ways they would do this is by completely changing the nature of the supply chain through autonomous coordination and negotiation. If multiagents represent the different activities of the supply chain, this would improve coordination mainly because of the decentralized nature of the multiagent-oriented approach. The main idea is to automate the supply chain so that managers are not just left with number crunching, and are free to take decisions where technology is not sufficient.
