Setting up a successful TRIZ project

TRIZ, the Russian acronym for Theory of Inventive Problem Solving, is a powerful tool for generating new ideas in a problem-solving process. Its recognition outside of its native Russia is relatively recent. Many success stories have been reported about its applications but, from the author´s experience, the euphoria is not widespread. This article discusses the factors influencing the success or failure of a TRIZ project and some practical recommendations to successfully deploy and implement a TRIZ project.
