Abstract
Not every attempt at business process reengineering has been a success. Part of the reason is that traditional modeling and analysis tools are simplistic. Business processes are dynamic and they interact. Static process modeling tools reveal only what happens within a process, what it uses as input, and what it outputs. Business planners also need behavioural modeling which reveals how a business process operates. The author discusses the selection of process engineering tools and their various requirements.<>
