Distribution Line Carrier System for Section Switch Telecontrol

The distribution automation system is not yet in commercial use because of the problem in the carrier system for section switch telecontrol. It has been difficult to decide which is preferable, the communication cable carrier system or the distribution line carrier system. The latter needs no cable construction and maintenance, and has an advantage in cost. But it has a problem in transmission reliability because of its sensitivity to noise. TEPCO has resolved these problems and realized a distribution line carrier system which is as reliable as the communication cable carrier system.
