Abstract :
A 40 GHz hybrid modelocked laser diode module with an impedance-matching circuit of a double open stub was developed. A low timing jitter less than 0.5 ps was successfully achieved with a record low RF power (-20 dBm). A wide locking bandwidth exceeding 200 MHz was also demonstrated.
