Abstract :
A multichannel modulation circuit has been fabricated that monolithically integrates one 25 GHz-spacing AWG for both MUX and DEMUX, and eight channels of SOA and EAM. The compact circuit can generate individual optical signals for each DWDM channel with a high extinction ratio of >20 dB and loss compensation. The dynamic performances are also confirmed at 2.5 Gbit/s.
