Abstract :
In this paper, the structure and principle of a coil launcher based on the mechanism of a hybrid switched-reluctance motor are introduced. The magnetic system model of the coil launcher is established. The influence of various parts of the system on the propulsive force is analyzed and calculated. Tested results are given. The relative values of various parts of the magnetic circuit are recommended to achieve maximum propulsive force, which provides the foundation for the manufacture of a prototype launcher.
