Abstract :
The cover presents sheet 1 (of 3) of the Wright Brother´s US Patent that described and illustrated their method of controlling a flying machine by wing warping. Their Patent Application was filed March 23, 1903, following an uncounted number of experiments using their [Dayton] wind tunnel, months before they demonstrated that their idea worked on December 17, 1903, at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, USA, before witnesses. US Patent 821393 was issued May 22, 1906.
