Abstract :
Slab nonlinear waveguides have been fabricated by annealing and reverse proton-exchange in hexagonally-poled lithium niobate (HexLN). The technology allowed the first demonstration of guided-wave quadratic interactions in 2D nonlinear photonic crystals.
