Abstract :
A novel and simple electrical parallel-to-serial converter for high-speed label comparison is developed using conventional metal-semiconductor-metal photodetectors, The 1×2 bypass/drop self-routing of 10 Gbit/s burst optical packets is demonstrated using the 4:1 converter.
