Abstract
A voltage-up-converter (VUC) is implemented in an optoelectronic integrated circuit (OEIC) for speed-enhancement of the integrated photodiode. Only one 5 V supply is necessary for the VUC-OEIC to bias the pin photodiode with a thick intrinsic zone at 16.3 V A bandwidth of 655 MHz is achieved compared to 22 MHz without a VUC.
