Abstract
This work presents a new technique for modeling and analysis of the mixed-mode (MM) electromagnetic interference (EMI) noise. The analytical MM noise model is first investigated to get a full understanding of the EMI mechanism. It is shown that with the suitable and justified model, many practical filters pertinent to MM noise are investigated, and the noise attenuation can also be derived theoretically. The analysis and results proposed here can provide a guideline for future effectiveness of filtering schemes in switch-mode power supplies.
