Abstract :
The conventional matching pursuit (MP) algorithm for channel estimation is extended to time-varying channels by using an explicit channel model. The proposed approach is found to outperform adaptive MP and least squares (LS) channel estimation for sparse channels. An LS method using MP is presented that performs well for both sparse and non-sparse channels.
