Abstract
The exact symbol error rate of M-QAM modulation is derived in closed-form for mobile radio systems using dual-branch equal-gain combining, when the received signals are Nakagami-m distributed and arbitrarily correlated. The method of derivation can be applied to any other coherent modulation scheme.
