Abstract :
A numerical procedure based on a three-dimensional finite element formulation is presented to evaluate the inductances and the effective dielectric constant on two-layer three-coupled microstrip lines on anisotropic substrates. The finite element is formulated in terms of all three components of the magnetic field H. This formulation does not contain mathematical singularities. The matrix size has been reduced by applying the boundary condition to perfect conductors on the microstrip lines whose normal direction is not coincident with the direction
