Abstract :
Transient electromagnetic fields produced by supply voltage application in an electromechanical converter with nonlinear solid core containing thin radial slots have been investigated. Electric circuit equations and the equation of motion of some core parts have also been dealt with. The electromagnetic field is considered to be two dimensional. The FE method, Cranck-Nicholson procedure, and Newton-Raphson iterative process have been applied. A special algorithm for solving the equation of motion has been developed
