Abstract :
The administrative committee of the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society takes great pleasure in announcing the selection of the Outstanding Paper published in its 2003 Transactions, Vol. 50. The award winners are: Barjam Zeqiri, Pierre N. G\´elat, Mark Hodnett and Nigel D. Lee for their paper "A Novel Sensor for Monitoring Acoustic Cavitation. Part I: Concept, Theory, and Prototype Development." The paper appeared in the October 2003 issue, pages 1342??1350. Professional biographies of the award winners are included.
