Abstract :
The modelling methods developed so far for grain-oriented electrical steels can not account for the true properties of materials. When these models were developed, more consideration was given to obtain fast convergence speed for numerical iterations than the accuracy of models themselves. For magnetic materials, the small changes in flux density B can cause dramatic change in permeability, so for the purpose of modelling devices, material modelling has to be as accurate as possible to reflect the true magnetic characteristics
