  • Abstract
    In the paper, an automatic computer-aided optimization (aCAO) of a waveguide-microstrip transition pair (WMTP) is presented. The final structure obtained, whose frequency-domain transmission characteristic S 21(f) shows a good agreement with measured data, is determined using the G+CD method, which combines conjugate direction method with gradients. The method bears the property of quadratic cut-off. A detailed derivation of the method is given
