Abstract :
The paper is concerned with the analysis of linear induction motors. It compares the use of an early simple space transient analysis with finite element modelling using the Aψ method for 3D problems and the Minkowski transformation for moving conductor regions. Special attention was paid to the effect of the geometry of the trailing edge of the machine
