Abstract :
A lumped impedance network model is presented for resonant strips placed in the transverse plane of a rectangular waveguide. This method involves, in the first instance, the division of the region of perturbation into overlapping inductive and capacitive windows and the calculation of the admittance due to each window. The method of impedance transformation is used to correct for the overlapping effect of the capacitive window on the inductive window. The resulting equivalent circuit consists of these admittances in series and parallel connections. Comparison of the results of this model with available results validates the method
