Abstract :
The problem of composite generation and transmission system reliability evaluation is now receiveing considerable attention as utilities are finding it necessary to quantitatively evaluate individual load point and overall system reliability indices. The available techniques for composite generation and transmission systems normally consider only simultaneous independent outages. This paper illustrates an extension of a previously proposed technique to include common-cause or common mode outages.
