Abstract :
This article examines the lessons learned in development and operation of the first disconnectable floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) offshore oil platform to be built for the North Atlantic. To assist in organizing the lessons learned into a framework that applies to other projects, this article investigates the following stages of the project: specification, design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance
