Abstract :
A new concept of sustain driver using the magnetic-coupling method is proposed. The sustain pulse slopes affecting discharge uniformity can be adjusted by the turns ratio of the transformer and the current stress of energy recovery switches is successfully reduced by more than 40% with the help of the reflected resonant current generated from the transformer.
