Abstract :
A novel multi-transmit and multi-receive (MTMR) adaptive array antenna (AAA) system combined with analogue-type transmit power control (TPC) to suppress channel frequency selectivity is proposed. This technique increases throughput with adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) employed at the downlink of direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems. The proposed scheme employs beam directivity control using a path manipulation technique. Its superiority over the conventional AAA systems is demonstrated by computer simulation.
