Abstract
The author presents a simple yet accurate transform from low-pass prototype filters to microstrip filters that is tolerant to the effect of microstrip discontinuities. The method uses two different properties of transmission lines to produce commensurate line filters. By choosing an appropriate topology, filters with good agreement between the measured and target responses can be obtained with little or no circuit optimisation
