Abstract :
A simple and low-cost method for the generation of monopole ultrasonic pulses is described. In the experiments a conventional function generator and an ultrasonic transducer were used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. Monopole ultrasonic pulses can be obtained when the rise time of a step voltage is matched to the resonance period of the transducer
